Cast & Catch Charters

Bay of Quinte Walleye and Bass Charters

I am now offering summer Walleye and Bass charters on the Bay of Quinte from my home near Picton, Ontario.  Pike can also be sought in these waters.  I conducted many charters during the '80's and '90's and I find myself available once again during the summers to conduct charters.

I use a 17.5' deep water boat with a 90 hp. outboard.  It is most comfortable to charter two people and I can charter a maximum of three people plus myself in the boat.

Book now by calling Steve Dingman at (613)476-7981 or contact by e-mail at charters@eastlink.ca

The style of fishing I use is hands on with lots of cast and retrieve.  You will get to handle the rod, work the bait, feel the hit and set the hook.  We do some trolling as well, depending on the circumstances.  We have our best success casting weed edges.  If this sounds appealing to you, give me a call.

I charter the areas of Picton Bay, Hay Bay and the Deseronto area.  The Bay of Quinte has an excellent Walleye and Largemouth Bass fishery.

Half day (4 hour) rates starting at $200 and full day (8 hour) rates starting at $350 includes baits, rods and reels if needed.  Fish cleaned in a boneless, skinless fashion at the end of the charter for those who would like to take some home is also included.

Oct. 11, 2010 perch fishing.  100 cleanable perch caught in the afternoon.  The board in the picture is 12 inches wide, this was the best dozen perch of the day.  There is good perch fishing in the area between Labour day and Thanksgiving when the walleye fishing is slower.

Above are just some of the summer 2010 catches.  It was a pretty good summer with about 600 total game fish caught including those during charters and scouting between charter days.  The weather was pretty good for the summer fishing, with hot weather being good for summer walleye fishing.  Wind was a problem on some charter days and a few thunderstorms forced us off the water, but all in all a lucky summer fishing time.
